AMaGA Western Australia is the state branch of the national peak body representing museums and galleries across Australia. Their vision is to see Australia’s museums and galleries financially supported, valued, enjoyed and protected, ensuring their ongoing importance for present and future generations.

Based in Boorloo / Perth, AMaGA supports collecting organisations and communities throughout Western Australia. As a non-government, not-for-profit arts service organisation, AMaGA is the only body in WA dedicated to professional development, support and advocacy for collecting institutions, with more than 30 years of experience delivering sustainable and culturally appropriate outcomes.

While much of AMaGA’s work takes place behind the scenes with the people who run these organisations, the impact can be seen through Collections WA, an online platform that showcases the collections and histories held by regional museums, galleries and community groups across the state.
