Marley Donnan-Cook is a songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Walyalup (Fremantle), Western Australia.

Having learnt percussion at John Curtin College of the Arts, Marley went on to study songwriting at WAAPA and a Bachelor of Contemporary Performance, becoming involved in a multitude of bands including his own projects Demon Days(2018 WAM
Award winners for Best Experimental Act), Supathick (WAM Awards 2022 Best Video and Best Electronic Dance Act), as well as writing and playing with acts such as Jack Davies and the Bush Chooks, Butter, Mali Jose, Airline Food, Anna Schneider, Hector Morlet, Tina Zando and People Taking Pictures.

Since Graduating from WAAPA, Marley has developed a career as a session player for Australian acts such as Tash Sultana, Blake Rose, Go-Jo, First Beige and Erica Tucceri, embarking on world tours and performing at major events such as Montreal Jazz festival. When not on the road, Marley is active in the improvisational and experimental scene and helps organise a fortnightly event with Jade//vision at Patio that brings members of various scenes across Perth/Australia together for spontaneous creation.

In addition to the live aspect of music, he is an avid producer/songwriter and helped his band, Kalliope, release their debut single “Would You Believe It?”, taking on the production and mixing role. With collaborations with many other emerging artists such as Anna Dabbs, Jada Weazel and Madoc Plane in the works to be released shortly! Marley hopes to continue working with talented artists that inspire him and help bring forth their creative visions in new and exciting ways, always striving to provide a safe and fruitful environment for ideas to flourish.
