ZULI, Leon Osborn, Great Statue

21/3/2024

Goolugatup Sounds & Ben Agüero have joined forces to fill our cup with a special edition of Sounds.

Ahmed El Ghazoly aka ZULI, is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and sound artist from Cairo, Egypt. Internationally recognized for his releases on Lee Gamble’s UIQ and the Italian Haunter Records, ZULI's music seamlessly blends elements of rap/hip-hop experimentation with dancefloor-ready beats. In addition to his musical endeavours, he co-launched the 'irsh' video series in 2019, showcasing talent from Cairo and the Middle East.

ZULI has made significant contributions to Cairo's hip-hop and electronic music scenes, notably collaborating with rapper Abyusif and co-founding the alternative music venue and club, VENT. ZULI's eclectic sound has garnered acclaim from adiverse range of supporters, including Aphex Twin, Ben UFO, and Richie Hawtin. He further extends his reach through his monthly show on NTS radio, a platform he employs to champion emerging DJs and artists from all over the world.

Don't miss this killer line-up, with support from locals Leon Osborn and the enigmatic Great Statue. Tix $15 via link below while last.
