Bruno Booth is a Walyalup (Fremantle) based artist working across painting, sculpture, video, sound and public, interactive installation art. Booth’s work explores complexity and dissonance that exists between the physical and the cultural. The artist often uses the motif of movement to engage with economic, social, or bodily navigation through contemporary society, unpacking topics that we’re conditioned to passively ignore or actively dismiss along the way.

Bruno is currently serving as the 2023-2025 Artistic Director at Next Wave (Naarm), was a recipient of the Minderoo Artist Fund in 2023, exhibited at Dark Mofo (Nipaluna TAS, 2023) and has work in the collections of Artbank, Art Gallery of Western Australia, North Metropolitan TAFE and North Metropolitan Institute of Technology.
