A suite of programs for families and children developed in collaboration with Abdul-Rahman Abdullah & Anna Louise Richardson as part of our annual TILT exhibition 2024/2025.

ART PLAY curated a selection of materials, objects and prompts distilling the themes, materials and ideas within Shelter into a thoughtfully assembled picnic basket. Visitors borrow a basket from the front desk, before heading outside to delve into a sensory and play based experience of the exhibition.

Other satellite programs were offered to mark the opening and closing of the Shelter exhibition. A Soar of Kites, facilitated by Kite Kinetics, invited children to build and fly their own kite to celebrate the opening of the exhibition. Can We Learn to Talk to Birds, facilitated by Felicity Groom, led participants on a journey of listening, sound-making and using visual scores to catalogue bird sounds.
