Noongar Artist Residencies

Goolugatup’s Noongar Artist Residency is a funded three-month long residency program providing a fully subsidised studio space, artist fee, and inclusion in the annual exhibition program if desired. No fixed outcomes are required and it welcomes artists at all stages of their careers.

The program’s central focus is to support professional growth and development for Noongar artists, by making resources available that support experimentation and development and foster space and time for meaningful connections to be made. Artists are selected by invitation, guided by a Noongar artist advisory – however, we are pleased to consider expressions of interest from the public (please contact us at heathcote@melville.wa.gov.au).

Previous participant artists include Ilona McGuire, Lea Taylor, Brett Nannup and Ron Bradfield Jr.
