Basil Hanna was a nurse at Heathcote for 15 years and later a CEO of Parkerville Children and Youth Care who cared for and treated traumatised children. Basil’s beginnings however were in a well-known orphanage in Ireland. In this comical narrative Basil takes us on a journey through his childhood and adolescence through a zealot catholic family, life in a priest seminary, war torn Northern Ireland perceived as an English spy and life in a mental institution. Proceeds from sales of this book are donated to to Zero to Hero, NFP dedicated to alleviating Youth Suicide.
