Smiij is a new series of free, group improvisation sessions hosted by Ainslie Allan (@daisysanders28), intended to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and provide a safe and supported place to land, experiment, jam, and create. The acronym stands for ‘sound movement interarts improv jams,’ and sessions are held at rotating venues across Boorloo and Walyalup. There is no photography or recording at any of the jams; they are designed as a platform for trying-out, “prioritising process not outcomes.”
