Goolugatup Sounds No. 24 ~ co-presented by Tone List for Audible Edge Festival 2025! featuring Silvia Tarozzi & Deborah Walker, Tetuzi Akiyama & Craig Pedersen, TROTH, and rescue dog [DJ] PLUS! New Exhibitions from Kieron Broadhurst & Ash Tower, and Katie Ryan. Free entry from 5pm
Goolugatup Sounds returns on Saturday, 5 April, teaming up with Audible Edge for a night of exploratory, boundary-pushing music from an extraordinary lineup of local, interstate, and international artists.
Silvia Tarozzi & Deborah Walker (Italy) present Canti di guerra, di lavoro e d’amore, a breathtaking reinterpretation of traditional songs from Emilia, Italy, originally sung by working-class women and partisan resistance fighters. Their stunning violin, cello, and heartfelt vocals echo stories of labor, love, and defiance.
Tetuzi Akiyama (Japan) & Craig Pedersen join forces for their debut Australian duo performance. Akiyama, a Tokyo-based improvising guitarist and pioneer of Japan’s Onkyo movement, collaborates with Boorloo trumpeter Craig Pedersen to explore radical song forms and intense sonic textures.
Troth (Tasmania) blurs the lines between minimal synth-pop, immersive ambient soundscapes, and ritualistic sound art, crafting haunting, atmospheric music inspired by nature and memory.
DJ Rescue Dog closes out the night with genre-defying sonic textures.
Enjoy delicious food from local vendors, a full bar, and the option to bring a picnic under the night sky. A wheelchair-accessible party bus will run from Goolugatup to the next event at Goodwill Club (tickets required).
Goolugatup Sounds runs alongside the opening of new exhibitions, from Kieron Broadhurst & Ash Tower, and Katie Ryan.
