'Numbat' is a compilation by Boorloo/Perth record label Rockton Records, featuring 10 tracks from 10 different local artists. Stripping away a sense of genre, 'Numbat' contains a sonic soup of different directions and intentions, spanning from nu jazz to pop electronica to glistening folk balladry to house and a few flavours in between. Artists include Julia Wallace, GIA COMO, No Nomad, Man Sandal, Delivery Buoy, Medium Well, Talking Trash, Buckland, asian milhouse and valdø. Each 12” vinyl LP comes with a booklet including liner notes and additional photographs, in a beautiful sleeve designed by WA artist Tapemind.
